Site Project and Design
Demo
The life cycle
of a website design seems to be about 6-12 months, so most of my
major sites no longer resemble the original I did for them. Sometimes
the business changes and so they need a new site. Sometimes the
business goes under or changes names. Sites evolve as companies
grow. Even John Travolta doesn't have disco hair anymore.
So, it's hard
to show live sites as demos, though sometimes they stay the same
for years. In some cases I don't have the original design anymore,
but I do have a few screen captures of home pages to show:
Here's
a capture from Twin Galaxies, which went from one employee to sixty
and back to one in about 18 months.
Here's
a shot of a site called FutureDay.
In the table
below I've linked to a few site designs. Bear in mind that some
of the later ones are as much as 5 years old. But most of them have
a story to tell, if you decide to take the tour. There are even
a few embedded sublinks to some real antiques, many of them still
charming, if a bit dusty. If you click on the upper left item you
will start at the beginning.
Right arrows take you forward,
left arrows take you back, and
up arrows will return you to this page.
