Responding to Daniel Rumsfield article in the March 19 NY times:

Rumsfield, old enough to remember the Korean War because one of his buddies died there, reveals this scary thought: our country is being run by some very, very old people with very, very old thinking.

The Korean war, indeed.

The idea that old wars can justify new wars is kind of a self-defeating mentality.

I thought the idea was no war.

Most people who fought in Korea weren't too happy about the work.

They weren't there and we are not in Iraq because of previous successes, but due to previous failures.

Failures to understand each other, and failures of the human animals to come to grips with their needs and their differences without losing the humanity side of the equation.

The list of chances you say you offerred Saddam before ripping into Iraq is delusional at best.

You had long since stopped listening to Saddam, who told you over and over that he had no WMD.

What would it have taken for you to believe him?

Only a dinosaur would send an army out to counteract terrorism. Not knowing who or what to attack, you sent some army to attack someone so as to appear to be doing something.

The joke is that you guys were looking for excuses to attack Sadaam anyway. 9/11 provided the excuse.

As a dinosaur, you are incompetent to function in a modern world.

Incompetent to lead this country into peace, the birthright of every new child.

Incompetent to protect us from terrorism, because you are creating new terrorists daily by acting just like what they hate rather than becoming something that they could admire.

You are using force without even knowing who you are forcing.

You don't know your enemy.

How can your ignorance help but create more people who feel unheard?

You can't stamp out terrorists.

The only way to stop terrorists is to to stop doing whatever it is that you are doing that terrorists don't like... and by making them happy, productive people... not lost souls with nothing to lose.

You can only stop terrorists by not being a target.

You stop being a target when you stop violating whatever laws you are violating to put you on the terrorists hate list.

Only a dinosaur would think that he is being attacked by fecal matter when he is standing in his own dung.

If you don't know that every terrorist is your own creation and why, then I can only pray for an ice age, and soon.

You hopefully will be retired from public office soon.

See you in the museum, then.
