Regarding Maureen Dowd's article in the NY Times today "The Iraqi Inversion":

Thank-you, Maureen,

It's nice to know that they have you in counterpoint to the dinoSafire.

I'm not sure whether Bush and his cohort need to be spanked or imprisoned. Somehow just voting them out of office doesn't seem like it's enough.

I really believe that the misinformation, misdirection, and virtual hijacking of our country in the neoconservative direction is something that needs a long hard look....

In a reasonably backward country they would be thrown out of office and straight in Jail.

But unfortunately, we are not backward, we're forward, except of course, in that we have these backward looking leaders...

Can they be stopped?!

This brings up a question... What do we do when we have, in effect, a rogue administration... Pursuing agendas that they have been quietly nursing for years, only to suddenly find those with their bent of mind in the driver's seat.

When you are on the top you set the flavor... And a RAFT of oppressive policies start trickling down.... Restrictions of closed captioning for the deaf based on conservative agendas, restricting non-profits with political agendas different than theirs, and so on.

These are the same sort of dopes that got us into Viet Nam, and the same sort of dopes usually create the same sort of mess.

Those that do not learn from history and condemned to become it.

November is not soon enough, I say.
