Bush goes down (in flames)

It's the night before the election, and for some days I've just had a
quiet calm feeling that Kerry will win and that ALL WILL BE WELL.

I could be wrong, but I'd only give that possibility about a 5% chance
of success.

I just don't see another four years of this stuff.

And the sheer delight of not having to hear what Bush, Cheney,
Rumsfield, Condi or Ashcroft had to say... and not t see their pictures
in the papers, online and on TV..... Will be an exquisite omission form
my daily life.

I wish them all a long drift into obscurity....

Like the Titanic's long, slow sink to the bottom....

and may they never rise again to distort things.

But maybe, someday, a deep expedition will plumb the depths and somwhow
answer all the questions... What happened? What was that all about?

But until that day, we simply can enjoy having our country back...

Yet staying alert, lest these sorts of people sneak back into office
again, and again exert their inordinately powerful and primitive will
on national events.

And for Georgie, as they said in Ghostbusters:

"I'm sending him a fruit basket at the holidays"

And may I never have to hear what he says again.

Go home George.

And shut up.
